王心凌 - Happy Loving MV

Although I am not a fan of her, but i thought this 1st 主打 is rather sexy in nature as opposed to her usual act cute songs in her previous albums. Too bad this is yet another 翻唱 song that sounds like Jolin and the melody isn’t very memorable.

張韶涵《第5季》音樂會 @ Max Pavilion

After the autograph session at IMM garden plaza, me and Jun hao stayed at the Jurong East Library for a while (for me to mug a bit for my exam) before going to max pavilion at expo to watch Angela’s showcase performance. Initially it started off quite badly because of the music player kind of 跳針 during the 1st song 《搖擺頭》and next on 《看得最遠的地方》, which is so bad that angela has to stop the music and re-sing the whole song again to make it perfect. Luckily the problem was solved somehow and did not affect her performance again. However, for most of the songs she 忘詞 for certain portion of the songs or she sang wrongly, although some were not that obvious but too bad caught by jun hao the database. Some 忘詞 are more obvious than others la haha. Despite all this small little flaws, the performance was great.

 

 

張韶涵《第5季》簽唱會 on 211109

Went to 張韶涵《第5季》簽唱會 at IMM garden plaza with jun hao. She sang 《偶爾》for the opening song and then 《白白的》to end off the singing section of the autograph session. Quite short actually with only two songs. Probably too busy with the interviews lined up for her promotion of her latest album. Anyway, she looked beautiful on stage with the red hair and dress! The only 美中不足 is she kind of sang a little off tune when she “woo woo” for the 1st time in 《白白的》when she sang “再多的愛也不夠...woo woo”, the voice suddenly 飄走.

Project Runway – Season 6

SPOILER ALERT!

Project Runway Season 6 has ended on Thursday on Lifetime channel. It has been quite a delay since there is this lawsuit to settle due to the movement of the show from Bravo TV to Lifetime.

Season 6 winner is Irina. Although a bit expected throughout the whole series (because of her consistent good designs throughout the competition), i thought for the finale runway show at Bryant Park, Carol Hannah did the best job when she showed her gowns and evening dresses on the runway. Althea’s and Irina’s designs, to me, are okay only and did not really show their best on the runway show. Besides, Irina’s designs are mostly black which look a bit dull and repetitive on the runway. For Carol Hannah, although most of them are dresses, there is vibrancy in the choice of colours and also the designs are well-made and the execution of the dresses are impeccable. I would expect Carol Hannah to win the competition actually. Too bad Irina won.

Season 7 of Project Runway will premiere on 14th January 2010.

America’s Next Top Model – Cycle 13

SPOILER ALERT!

ANTM Cycle 13 ended on wednesday this week on CW.

Haha. I have much fun watching the whole series of antm as an entertainment show to relax myself.

Nicole won!! 1st episode she was known as the weird little girl who is often seen as “not in the situation” and does not know how to socialise with other people. But she really transforms when taking photos and her look is really high-fashion. From week to week she has proven herself to be capable to taking very good pictures which are fashionable. I also like brittany actually but too bad she was eliminated towards the end of the competition.

Age

I was shocked to see how young some of the actors and actresses are in Gossip Girl TV series when they look much older on TV due to all the heavy make-up and outfits they are wearing to fit into the upper east side elite social scene in Manhattan.

Haha, guys would love her. Blake Lively (Serena) is only 22 years old!

Leighton Meester (Blair) is only 23 years old.

Chace Crawford (Nate) is 24 years old.

Taylor Momsen (Jenny) is only 16 years old!!! This is the most surprising and hard to believe!

Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) is only 22 years old. Hard to believe either coz he looks way too mature in the TV series while wearing the suits and acting like a businessman.

When the answers are wrong…

I guess everybody is chionging PYP for now to prepare for their final year exams. It is like after the exam you wun go back to this module EVER AGAIN so MIGHT AS WELL JUST DO EVERY SINGLE QUESTION AVAILABLE AND GET OVER WITH IT!

Haha!

Anyway, some of the answers for the cm1101 and cm1131 PYP are wrong la…and it is damn obvious that most answers are copy and paste from the notes (wholesale). Better still, some even copy blindly…whole concept is wrong! The thing is some people might think that those are the correct answers and worse still, go and remember all the wrong things. In the end write wrong answers on the exam papers…

Haiz, i wish people can be more thoughtful about EDUCATION (well of course i am mindful of education one la!). Teaching the wrong thing is a SERIOUS issue!!

Oh well, don’t trust answers 100% if they are not from the professors themselves. :)

灑狗血情歌

What is 灑狗血? In simple terms, it means the chorus melody tends to reach a climax that is quite over. Haha! With heavy use of musical instruments, orchestra music to bring out your feelings effortlessly. This is usually done in the bridge of the song and is amplified by the singer’s 哭腔 style of singing. Like the whole world is going to collapse. Top song is definitely: 無能爲力 by 石欣卉 haha!

十首經典愛情歌曲，唱出萧敬腾個人風格，特別喜歡《记得》，《纪念》和《倒带》，唱出不同的味道，尤其是《倒帶》，唱得很起勁又有power，和蔡依林和周傑倫相比之下，他詮釋得比較歇斯底里，很rock的feel，成功帶出抒情搖滾的味道。

《夢一場》或許是專輯中比較“喘口氣”的歌曲吧，比較平靜的抒情歌，簡單的配樂下唱著歌，暖和了其他喧鬧的歌曲。《如果沒有你》本來也是很簡單的歌曲（莫文蔚原唱），但萧敬腾把它呈現出比較high一點的版本，還不錯。

《新不了情》每個人都在翻唱，萧敬腾版本還算新鮮，有power，但節奏似乎有點趕。

感覺專輯太快面試了，似乎搶錢搶得太明顯了。

冒冷汗

The author of this entry gives me the feeling of 冒冷汗 while reading…haha! Well…to me is just a table tennis game. 沒什麽大不了。

Plans

Ya we all need plans to do something.

Dun wake up and have no goals in your mind. Then the day is wasted, and wait till the important dates are coming nearer and nearer and dun blame anybody but yourself for trying too hard to leave everything till the last min…well miracles do happen but not unnecessarily at the correct moment all the time.

We also need to plan what to do AFTER the exams so that we have the motivation towards the end. I have planned out some movies and shows to watch HAHA! And also PSP GAMES! 期待！

Today went to vivocity with mum to have lunch there at 黑社會 Bosses Restaurant. It is a typical chinese food restaurant and we tried the dim sum over there. Average only…not as fabulous as 東海 restaurant over at orchard.

Might be watching a movie with jun hao and kk on tuesday too.

Breaks are important!

Of course, everyday need to mousehunt de la. I need to reach 12 million exp so that i can change my trap to a better one!! Tmr shall be the day haha!!

Boring…

My life is now quite boring, other than the usual facebook games the only additional thing is studying at home…trying to complete studying the modules i am taking. Nothing interesting. The most interesting thing i can think of is probably going out to have dinner with gum and jun hao on friday after gum’s seminar at school. I also went back to school to 順便 collect my lab reports and print my stuff.

THE GEOGRAPHY READINGS ARE REALLY THICK LA!!!

The reason why i am printing them out is hopefully i can get an A at the end of the day la. But my projects are all B+ standard so i dunno whether i have what it takes for an A student, since i am not an Arts student and there are 444 students taking the module (nice number). And mostly all arts students who have no fear for essay questions and i have the disadvantage of not taking A level geography.

This is the module which i am not very confident of…and the highest uncertainty in the final grade. I am printing the readings so that i can go read them and hopefully apply some examples from the readings.

The money has been spent so might as well make full use of it. I really hate to SU this module because firstly i have printed out ALL the readings = waste money if SU. Secondly, i have devoted much time to do the human geog projects and writing an essay for one portion of the project and also cracked my brain for the physical geog lab analysis as well. SU-ing it is really very wasteful of my efforts la…it is like might as well you dun do all this hard work.

Anyway we have Fish and Co dinner on friday…nice Seafood Platter for two…shared among THREE of us. Haha! Just nice. Although gum and jh still went to eat the fake taiwan crispy chicken and we all drank bubble tea and shopped around JP for a while in the hope of shopping for gum’s good-looking shirt decent for a wedding event. Too bad gum did not 看得上 any of the shirts so the whole shopping trip was futile.

It was nice to get away with home and not think about exams and mugging once in a while. Love the feeling of getting away from the thick aura of LECTURE NOTES which suffocate people…

王心凌 - 美丽的日子 新歌加精选

 

每一次歌手一旦換新唱片公司，舊東家就會在閥片前幾周推出所謂超值的精選輯，好好地撈一筆，以前孫燕姿跳去Capitol的時候華納也是一樣推出超誇張的精選輯，蔡依林從Sonybmg跳到Capitol也是如此，跳到華納也是如此，驚訝的是爲什麽歌手都有那麽多rejected pieces可以任唱片公司利用在這類型的精選輯。

新歌有《美丽的日子》，《等》，《轻微》，《当爱情来了》和《女生最怕》

《美丽的日子》和《当爱情来了》是王心凌典型的甜蜜歌曲，不會太over，但沒什麽驚喜。

《等》和《轻微》是我喜歡的慢歌，聼王心凌的慢歌，就會認爲爲什麽王心凌不想好好地朝這個方向走，而是朝太過甜蜜的方向走，其實王心凌唱起抒情歌曲還蠻好聼的，只是往往不是專輯的重點，模糊了好的歌曲。

《女生最怕》是胡彥斌的作品，有點迷幻風，讓我印象深刻，因爲我不會料到王心凌會嘗試這類型的歌曲，但有新鮮感，效果出來是不錯的，讓我有點驚訝，是不錯的嘗試。

是時候走出甜蜜的風格了，期待在金牌大風的作品為聽衆帶來不一樣的王心凌吧。

這次推出迷你專輯（算是單曲啦），嚴格來説只有兩首新歌，《禮物》其實是《寂寞光年》的曲（80time作曲），只是詞是由劉力揚作詞，《寂寞光年》是《雙子星》的主體曲，對新加坡人來說不陌生，坦白說，《禮物》的詞配合曲有點不搭，韻腳也顯得怪怪的，不比《寂寞光年》的詞來得出色，《寂寞光年》的詞配合了曲所呈現出來的寂寞感和空虛感，寫得比較實在，但曲很沉重，不會想要多聼幾遍，況且歌曲有點冗長（5分多鈡的歌曲），聼了幾遍后難以消化。

《崇拜你》唱出了隨性，旋律好聽。《梅花香》中國風歌曲不過火，有新鮮感。

《一個人就好》對於《愛就宅一起》的觀衆並不陌生，旋律依然動聽。

這張專輯有可聼度，只是爲何只有5首歌曲，太浪費了。
